The name of my website, Metta Dukkha, is inspired by Theravada Buddhism.

Metta, in Pali, means “loving-kindness” while Dukkha means “suffering.” My art practice is a very personal exploration of the interplay between these two concepts as they appear in my relationships with family, nature, and creativity.
